Aqua Village

A residential complex of 27 floating homes, delivered as prefabricated timber-frame wall systems and assembled on the water.

Uniqa ran the full off-site programme — engineering coordination, factory production in Moldova, and the international logistics to the Netherlands — through to on-site assembly support, including façade finishes and the roof system.

Every wall, floor and roof element was produced under controlled factory conditions, using Dutch-developed technology and CE-certified materials, with production certified to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. The panels reached the Netherlands to fixed tolerances, ready to assemble in a short window on each berth.

Building on water leaves no room for on-site correction. Access is limited and the base floats, so every panel had to arrive at its final dimensions. The 27 homes were engineered and manufactured in the factory; on the water, the crews only assembled.

Aqua Village was delivered in collaboration with local Dutch partners. It remains the most logistically complex delivery Uniqa has made.
